Monarch Gallery Artist - Donna Carlisle Noice
I paint to capture the essence of my subjects.
I paint to capture the essence of my subjects. I believe that art is communication, and endeavor to convey to the viewer my feelings about the subjects rather than the realistic details; to filter what I see and appreciate through the beautiful medium of paint. I have studied with some of the finest painters in country, including Edgar A. Whitney, AWS; Frank Webb, AWS, John Pike, AWS, Richard Phipps, Leland McClelland and C. Michael Dudash. I have exhibited in many places over the years; The Knickerbocker Artists Annual Exhibition in New York City; Boston Mills Art Festival; Crosby Ardens Art Festival, to name just a few.
My paintings are in many private collections throughout the U.S.A. and in many different countries. I have been a signature member of the Ohio Watercolor Society, and many other organizations. I love to teach and have three wonderful classes at present with class members who are very accomplished painters. I also give workshops and painting demonstrations.
