Monarch Gallery Artist - Annette Simon
Oil on Wood Panels

I reside in Canal Winchester,Ohio, with my husband and two children. After years of working as a freelance graphic designer and fine artist I decided to join a group of 8 other artists and helped form what is now Studio 7.5 in Canal Winchester. The studio serves as a creative working environment as well as limited gallery space.
Most of my paintings are oil on wood panels and are based on images drawn from my immediate surroundings or spontaneous interpretations of nature wherever I may be. I paint in either a realistic or abstract style. I want my work to be pliant in that it has served its purpose for me through the act of creating, but will serve an alternate or compatible purpose for the viewer. I want it to be respected for its professional craftsmanship, experimental textural effects, focused compositions, creative color choices, and overall visual value.
